So perhaps I have a problem. Perhaps I don't care if it is a problem. Perhaps I recognize this and am willing to accept the things I cannot change.
When you know you are an addict:
1. You are sick to your stomach when you realize you have forgotten your gloss at home, and are seriously considering getting to work late just to drive back home to get it.
2. You would rather have a bouquet of lip gloss than flowers
3. You feel naked without it on.
4. You get giddy when you open a brand new container of one.
5. You won't buy just "any lip gloss", it has to be on your preferred list!
6. Your kids stop realizing that they have an imprint of gloss on their foreheads
7. Your husband stops caring if your gloss gets on his lips
8. When you can't concentrate on what the person in front of you is saying because all you want to do is pull that lippy out of your pocket and smack in on those dry lips of yours.
Kind of a funny story....but kind of makes me super sad to say it out loud (hence the saying above about being addicted)
So my sweet husband heard from the kids that I wanted lip gloss for Christmas. Yes, I ask for simple things that make me happy. Well he trotted to the mall, drug the kids with him, purchased said lip gloss, and left it at the mall playground. He didn't realize this until it was Dec 24th and he didn't have it to wrap. When he tells me this I honestly felt sick. I know sick over lip gloss? But, I knew he wouldn't have just bought one or two.....he would have made it worth the trip so there had to have been like at least 6 in that precious bag. Needless to say we called the mall and no one returned it. My head hung low for quite awhile. I hope whoever found that awesome bag of goodies feels good about their decision not to turn it in. They will get what's coming to them someday.
