Christmas Day

I loved that Christmas fell on Sunday this year!  Made it more special and more memorable.  Sure we had to juggle things a bit, but being able to go feel the Christmas spirit at church was really something that just sort of put everything into perspective.  Helped us feel the true meaning of Christmas on the actual day which was lovely.
We had an adventurous day with really one thing after another, but it didn't feel too rushed thank goodness!  Would I have loved to spend the day in my pj's and watch Christmas movies all day......perhaps. 
The kids didn't wake up too early, so they got to open stockings and 1 Santa gift, then it was time to get ready for church.  After church we got dressed and opened the rest of the gifts.  Then our friends invited us over for breakfast.  After that we got things in the car and headed to Paul Idaho to visit with the Thacker fam!  Poor Mackenzie got sick on the way there, I thought it was car sickness, but it ended up being the full on flu! :(  boo!  She was miserable the entire time at Grandma Thackers the poor girl!   We had a wonderful visit with the huge family there, and its always a joy to be able to share the holidays with the ones we love! 
We headed home early evening, since both of us had to work the next day.  It was a short but wonderful trip.  We truly are blessed with such amazing families!
